(Vocal/instrumental group, 2001–present)

This melodic yet heavy emo-rock band from New Jersey led by singer Gerald Way found success and controversy in equal measure. The quintet made little impact with 2002 debut I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, but reached the US/UK Top 40 with 2004’s Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. Their third LP hit No. 2 in the US and UK, with the band’s gothic image claimed to glamorize suicide by a British newspaper. This only increased album sales, The Black Parade (2006) going double platinum in the UK.
