Moyse was principal flute at the Opéra-Comique in Paris 1913–38, and professor of flute at the Paris Conservatoire 1932–49. He appeared as a soloist in concerts and on recordings. He formed the Moyse Trio (flute, piano and violin) with his son and daughter-in-law in 1933.
