(Vocal/instrumental group, 1977–2008)

AOR supergroup formed by crack US session musicians including keyboardist David Paich and drummer Jeff Porcaro after playing together as the backing band for Boz Scaggs on his multi-platinum Silk Degrees album (1976). Most successful releases were 1978’s self-titled debut LP with the single ‘Hold The Line’ and 1982’s six time Grammy-winning Toto IV, including US chart-topping ‘Africa’ and ‘Rosanna’. Guitarist Steve Lukather was the only original left by their 2008 split, though original singer Bobby Kimball had gone and returned. The band released 18 albums and sold over 30 million records.
