(Vocal/instrumental group, 1996–present)

Godfathers of the Californian desert rock scene, QOTSA – Troy van Leeuwen (guitar), Joey Castillo (drums), Alain Johannes (bass) and Natasha Schneider (keyboards) – were formed from the ashes of Kyuss by Josh Homme (vocals, guitar), and are one of the heaviest bands on the planet. Sometimes counting Dave Grohl and Mark Lanegan in their ranks (most notably on 2002’s Songs For The Deaf), their breakthrough came with 2000’s Rated ‘R’ featuring the sarcastic anthem ‘Feel Good Hit Of The Summer’.
