Personalities | The Who | Reunited & Revitalized (2005) | Key Events
Cajoled into appearing at Live 8 in order to raise awareness of global poverty, and marking 20 years from the original Live Aid concerts, The Who performed in Hyde Park on 2 July. This was to be their only performance of the year (save for a private gig for Samsung in New York the previous month). Although overshadowed by the Pink Floyd reunion, the band was in fine form and the event once again allowed them to showcase their live prowess to a worldwide TV audience as well as to the estimated 200,000 people who had gathered in the park.
